Stars still burn overhead, but everything beneath them is softening, the sea and the air becoming one slow drift of pale light. It is the Oregon Coast on the nights when the fog comes in off the Pacific and quietly takes the world.

In Sea of Mist, Newport artist and ethereal watercolorist K.L. Rockwell lets the mist itself become the subject, painting as much with water as with pigment. Rendered entirely by hand at an intimate scale, its vanishing edges and granulated star field carry the same depth and atmosphere as her full-size coastal work, now sized to drift along with whatever you are reading next.
